Write for us
Active Food Journal welcomes clear, original proposals that help readers understand food labels, ingredients, storage, meal planning or everyday kitchen choices. A useful pitch begins with one reader question and shows exactly what the piece will clarify.
What makes a good pitch
Send a working title, a short summary of the main point, the intended reader and a brief outline of how the piece will answer its question. Explain what is distinct about the angle and note any sources or specialist input the subject would require. Prefer focused evergreen ideas over broad roundups or product promotion.
What we do not seek
We are not looking for unsupported health claims, personalised dietary advice, disguised advertising or copy that treats one food choice as right for everyone. Do not send confidential information or assume a pitch will be accepted or published.
How to send a proposal
Send pitches through the Contact page and choose the editorial question option. Include your proposed subject and enough detail for us to assess its fit; a complete draft is not needed unless requested.
