Active Food Journal

Editorial policy

Active Food Journal aims to make food information clear, fair and useful. We explain the scope of each article, distinguish general information from personal advice and correct mistakes when they are identified.

Accuracy and clarity

Articles are written to answer a specific reader question with careful wording and relevant context. We check that descriptions match the subject discussed, avoid overstating what labels or product features can tell a reader, and make uncertainty clear when a point cannot be stated confidently.

Independence

Editorial decisions are made for reader relevance and clarity. A commercial relationship does not determine an article's conclusions, and we do not present a product mention as an independent assessment when it is part of a partnership.

Corrections

Readers can report a possible error through the Contact page. We review the specific claim, make a correction when warranted and update the article wording so the information is clear. We do not leave a known error unaddressed.

Partner material and illustrations

Sponsored articles and partner placements are clearly labelled so readers can distinguish them from independent editorial material. Some illustrations may be AI-generated; when used, they are visual aids and are not evidence of a real food, package or event.
